Reasons for whistleblowing could be:

  • Acts that violate human rights, such as child labour, forced labour and all forms of slavery
  • Bribery and corruption
  • Disregard for freedom of association, freedom of unionisation and the right to collective bargaining
  • Disregard for occupational health and safety and work-related health hazards
  • Violation of the agreed working hours
  • Theft
  • Violation of the prohibition of unequal treatment
  • Significant negative impacts on the natural environment, such as pollution, ecosystem degradation and deforestation
